About the Department
The Department of Biomedical Software was established in 2023 to foster convergent talents with engineering skills and clinical knowledge by utilizing the strengths of Catholic University, which has eight affiliated hospitals. As a high-tech convergence department along with the Department of Artificial Intelligence and the Department of Data Science, the department aims to nurture the skills needed for medical services and technology support, such as precision diagnosis, digital treatment, and applying medical big data to healthcare, based on computer science-related subjects. The curriculum is divided into the Digital Healthcare Track/Medical Software Engineering Track to foster talents with the necessary convergent thinking and collaboration capabilities between IT and bio-industry fields for the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in preparation for a qualitative leap in future medical technology.

Academic Activities
The Department of Biomedical Software, along with the Department of Artificial Intelligence and the Department of Data Science, which together are our high-tech convergence departments, holds various events such as data analysis competitions and artificial intelligence colloquiums. and special lectures by inviting experts in various fields. We also organize activities to broaden students' perspectives. In addition, multiple clubs and organizations are organized by the student government.
